The University of Cebu School of Law was invited by the United States (U.S.) Embassy to a Virtual Talk on “Sailing a Course through Contested Waters” held on May 15, 2020.

Dean Al-Shwaid de Leon Ismael, UC Law Senior Professor Atty. Rose Liza Eisma-Osorio and Associate Professor Atty. Merachelle Borracho, UC Legal Aid Office Director Atty. Christopher John Menguito, Assistant to the Dean for Academic Affairs Atty. Kristine Joy Argallon, and Juris Doctor Thesis student Leah Dahan attended the virtual talk.

In June 2019, the U.S. Embassy partnered with UC Law in organizing a special forum relating to environmental crises and opportunities in the South China Sea.
