UC Law Students Participate in AHRC’s Summer Internship Program
UC School of Law third year students- Paulus Antonius Ruaya, Maureen Canete, and Jiri Othello Dinsay, are currently attending the 2020 PADAGOS Alternative Summer Internship Program (ASIP) of the Ateneo Human Rights Center (AHRC).
The ASIP is a month-long AHRC-organized program that provides the interns with basic knowledge and information of the different human rights laws and issues; equips the interns with the necessary skills in advocacy through lectures, discussions, and skills training sessions. In lieu of the exposure of the interns through a week-long immersion to vulnerable sectors in society, the interns are assigned to various alternative law groups to assist them with their respective legal activities and advocacies ranging from land rights, Indigenous Peoples rights, and public interest litigation, among others.
The AHRC is a partner institution of the UC School of Law.
At UC Law, we focus on the holistic development of our students and provide them with learning opportunities outside the classroom.
Congratulations to Paulus, Maureen, and Jiri for bravely taking a leap of faith in their most fulfilling journey yet!
