Flexible learning in the new normal

UC Law students are ready for flexible learning in the new normal

The students of the UC School of Law participated in a series of activities organized by the Office of the Dean and the University of Cebu Law Students Society (UCLASS) during the Weeks of Welcome, a two-week long event aimed to gradually prepare the students for legal education under the new normal.

The Weeks of Welcome culminated yesterday with a webinar on Studying Law in the New Normal, where the resource speaker, Dr. Glenn Glarino, gave tips on what to expect and how to cope with online learning-related stress, and the Town Hall Meeting with Dean Shwaid, where the students had the chance to engage in an informal discussion and raise any concerns with the dean. These activities are organized every semester in line with the law school’s goal of providing student-centred programs through an enabling environment for critical thinking, ethical consciousness, global competitiveness, and social responsiveness.

At UC Law, no pandemic can stop us from providing quality legal education and holistic training. We embrace the challenge of change and build opportunities in the face of adversity.
