The University of Cebu School of Law officially launched the UC Journal of Law and Society and its maiden issue last March 5, 2021. The virtual lauching was attended by Legal Education Board Commissioner Josefe Sorrera-Ty, Philippine Association of Law Schools President Dean Marisol DL Anenias, Konrad Adenauer Stiftung Regional Project Executive Susan Chan, Oceana Philippines Vice President Gloria Estenzo-Ramos, the members of the Journal’s Editorial Board, the authors and contributors, members of the UC Law Faculty, and officers of the UC Law Students Society.
The Journal is part of UC Law’s concrete steps toward becoming globally or regionally recognized as a hub for scholarship, and legal policy research – a goal embedded in its Vision of becoming a leading institution for quality legal education, ethical excellence, global competence, and social responsiveness. It also aims to advance legal scholarship in the country through in-depth and up-to-date research on contemporary legal issues in Philippine society.
At UC Law, we aim to provide holistic training. We prepare our students for the Bar and beyond.
