Present during the signing ceremony today were Hon. Marlon Jay G. Moneva (Executive Judge, Regional Trial Court Cebu City), Hon. Pamela A. Baring (1st Vice Executive Judge, Regional Trial Court Cebu City), Hon. Jenelyn Forrosuelo (Executive Judge, Metropolitan Trial Court in Cities Cebu City), Hon. Esther Veloso (Presiding Judge, RTC Branch 6, Cebu City), Atty. Perpetua Socorro Enriquez-Belarmino (COC VII, RTC Cebu City), Atty. Al-Shwaid De Leon Ismael (Dean, UC School of Law), Atty. Christopher John C. Menguito (Director, UC Law Clinical Legal Education Program), and Atty. Kristine Joy R. Argallon (College Secretary, UC School of Law).

The Externship Program is designed to provide law students with the opportunity to expand their legal education beyond the classroom setting. Through this initiative, law student practitioners will gain experience in legal and court processes while serving the community through research and case decongestion, among other things.

UC Law currently has more than 40 law student practitioners who are Level 1-certified.

At UC Law, we remain committed to developing and maintaining connections with the community. Through the Clinical Legal Education Program, we remain true to our thrust of providing quality legal education through service especially in this new normal.
