Students of the UC School of Law attended the virtual career talk entitled, “Career Talk: Where Will Your Law Degree Take You?”, organized by the Office of the Dean yesterday.
The career talk, which aims to introduce to the UC Law students the career opportunities available to them after they obtain their Juris Doctor degree and guide them in making and implementing an informed choice in the future, is an annual event organized by the law school. This year’s career talk covered career options in the judiciary, government service (government prosecution, public attorney’s office, and government agencies and government-owned and controlled corporations), in-house corporate practice, private practice and litigation, public interest lawyering, and alternative law practice.
At UC Law, we provide career guidance to our students and help them acquire the knowledge, skills, and experience necessary to identify options, explore alternatives, make a shift from the general understanding of law practice to a more specific understanding of the realistic and practical career options that are available to them as Juris Doctor degree holders, and succeed in society in the future.
We sincerely thank all our alumni, namely, Judge Gerry Robertson Mira, Atty. Cheryl Edeline Ong, Prosecutor Leah Cruz, Atty. Cynthia Montefalcon, Atty. Philline Rosamae Reluya-Yu, Atty. Cindy Baguio, Atty. Gibran Abubakar, Atty. Karla Marie Tumulak, and Atty. King Anthony Perez, who generously accepted our invitation and provided insights and shared their experiences to our students.
