Two UC law students bag prestigious legal scholarship

UC School of Law 4L students, Ms. Shergina Grace B. Alicando and Mr. Ian Christian P. Cosido, were selected as recipients of the prestigious merit-based FLP Legal Scholarship awarded by the Foundation of Liberty and Prosperity (FLP).

The FLP Legal Scholarship Program, funded by the Tan Yan Kee Foundation and undertaken in cooperation with the Philippine Association of Law Schools, aims to look for the best and the brightest law students in the country. The FLP Scholarship is a monetary scholarship award that covers tuition, book allowance, and stipend. This year, ten students were selected from the different law schools nationwide.

The virtual awarding ceremony will be held on August 11, 2022.

This is the third year that students of UC Law participated in the nationwide search for FLP Scholars. Atty. King Anthony Perez (JD ‘19 Class Valedictorian) and Ms. Mary Therese Maurin (JD ’22 Third Honorable Mention) also made it on the list in 2019 and 2021.

At UC Law, we help our students reach their full potential through. Together, we make things happen, one initiative at a time.

We are very proud of you, Ms. Alicando and Mr. Cosido!
